I will launch my first ever coat design and collection under the name "A Coffee in the Woods (and other stories)". The idea came to me about 7 years ago. Meeting the right people to help develop this first design has made HARU a reality! The collection name is a tribute to a/my birthday wish to have a coffee in the woods in Finland (and to pet a reindeer). Both came true on my December 31st, 2023 birthday!

Production is complete. HARU coats are now in my hands. HARU's first collection includes six textiles (in small quantities).

i'm currently hand sewing labels onto each coat and shooting images of coats out in everyday life.

Rae Dunn: Artist and Brand

I met Rae back in 2018 at West Coast Craft in San Francisco when she came to my booth. She spotted Bucket bag in Veg Tan. That was it. Sonoko Sakai: Japanese chef, designer of her food/product brand and book author...

Sonoko and I met in the maker world at a mutual friends backyard pop up shop. @thelazypotters would gather us twice per year to sell our wares. This is also where i became hooked on Sonoko's pumpkin curry muffins and she became a loyal supporter of my bag brand.
