Gather Bag Long
was one of the two bags (the cell bag the other) I took with me for my 3 week stay in Paris. Both bags worn mostly crossbody. The above image is one of the many cool cafes I visited-- Saint Pearl in Saint Germain, the 6th.
WABI SABI LEATHER BASKET
Oxford black wabi sabi leather basket is photographed with mid-century Danish chairs I found in the late 1980's at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena CA. The seller said he was told they were made in the same workshop as Arne Jacobsen's chairs. Made in Denmark is stamped into it's metal frame. The bent plywood chairs to this day make that creaking sound with every touch and physical engagement. I thought it was the wood but it could be the frame. Sounds of home sweet home. BTW, bag will be moving to Brussels with fantastic person Odile.
TRAVEL ADVENTURES
Stopped in Brussels en route to Paris for a visit with Odile, Marceline, and Nathalie. It was a reunion of sorts being reunited with the three Wabi Sabi's now living in Belgium. My friendship with these Belgian gals began in IG as followers who became customers then bonding in real life. I make reaching out to people for a coffee meet up a priority where ever I travel. It has been a very rewarding experience. My life has expanded because of this.
